£7,990.00Price

This has to be one of the most genuine and well looked after Ford Puma’s you are likely to find! It’s had the same enthusiast owner for the last 12 years, has covered just 28,000 genuine miles from new and boasts a terrific history file!!

Supplied new on 30/04/2001 to it’s original owner by Sandicliffe Ford, it remained local and was subsequently serviced by them every year for the next 10 years, with all invoices being retained in the history file. The original sales brochure still remains in the history file and details all the information about this special edition Puma ‘Black’. Interestingly, there are some hand written notes on the front cover listing the various cost options, quite a nice thing to have.

This stunning Puma then changed custodian and was continued to be serviced / looked after by the Ford main dealer for the majority of it’s life, this time the chose Ford main dealer was Vospers. Once again all servicing invoices have been retained in the history file, along with all the old MOT certificates! Only recently, has it been serviced by an independent garage, again, with invoices retained which shows a documented timing belt / cam belt kit being fitted on 18/08/23 at 27,821 miles. It also benefits from new matching Michelin tyres on the front, clearly no expense has been spared on the meticulous upkeep of this lovely Puma!

Presented in gleaming ‘Panther Black’ it really is in lovely condition throughout. Being a special edition Puma ‘Black’ it comes with a really nice specification. It proudly sits on it’s original ‘F1’ style alloy wheels which were a cost option for other Puma’s, but standard on this model. Full black leather was also standard, along with aluminium ‘Puma’ sill covers, gear knob and ‘Puma’ mats. This particular example has Air conditioning along with electric windows and mirrors.

If you're reading this, you'll now all about how good these cars are, from there pin sharp handling, to that eager revving 1.7 engine developed in conjunction with Yamaha. Everything still feels lovely and 'tight' with a lovely crisp gear change, the steering and brakes are ultra sharp, you can just tell this is a low mileage, perfectly maintained example! The aluminium gear knob fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, it really is arguably one of the sweetest gear changes in a manual car! It's quite clear this Puma has been cherished from day 1, with the fastidious owner having it serviced at the Ford main dealer.

Both the exterior and interior are in lovely condition, the rear wheel arches are completely solid and appear to be free from rust. The interior, clearly never smoked in, is perfect and unmarked. The original leather remains lovely and supple and in lovely original condition. The aluminium gear knob is in perfect, unmarked condition. The whole car is genuinely lovely and demonstrates it’s exceptionally low mileage.

Whilst this is obviously not a museum piece, it has to be the best ‘original’ Ford Puma on sale today. It’s clearly enjoyed a cosseted life, and has one of the most comprehensive history files we’ve ever seen! This STUNNING Puma is now looking for it’ next custodian to continue to cherish it.
